Our approach to travel
Panama is where geography made history. The isthmus that connected two continents also became one of the most significant crossroads in the world, where indigenous communities, African heritage, European settlement, Asian migration, and the building of the Canal each left something permanent. The descendants of all of them still shape the country's food, architecture, music, and daily life today. No other country this size carries this many layers.
This same land bridge that connected two continents also separated two oceans, creating ecosystems on each coast that evolved in entirely different directions. It redirected the migration of species, animals, birds, and marine life, in ways still visible today. The distances between all of it are short. The Pacific coast, the rainforest, the Caribbean, the city, the highlands: most of it within a day of each other. What turns a visit into an encounter with the real Panama is not time. It is knowledge, access, and the right introductions.

Marciacq Travel was founded by Nicole Marciacq, a hospitality professional trained at the Glion Institute in Switzerland, whose career spans luxury brands including The Ritz-Carlton, Landed Travel, and El Otro Lado. She spent eight years at Panama's Tourism Authority leading the product development department, coordinating international tourism trade show participation for the country, and was part of the technical team that produced the country's National Sustainable Tourism Master Plan.
